Part numbers for some common M-block emissions control devices
are
listed in the
Emissions Control Devices
section.
Fuel pumps
All 335-series engines (351C and 351M/400) use a mechanical
fuel pump body
with vertical mounting points. A mechanical fuel pump designed
for any
335-series engine will interchange with any other 335-series
engine, so you
can use high-performance fuel pumps designed for the 351C on an
M-block
(351M/400).
All other Ford OHV V8 engines have horizontal mounting points
for the
mechanical fuel pump. A 335-series mechanical fuel pump will
not fit on
any other Ford engine type, nor will a fuel pump from any other
Ford
engine fit on a 335-series engine.

Carburetors for '77-'82 M-block truck
applications
The following tables list calibration ID codes and Ford service
part
numbers for Motorcraft 2150 2V carburetors on M-block
(351M/400)
engines in Ford trucks. Calibration ID codes are similar, and
in most
cases identical, to carburetor ID codes.
These tables are organized by model year and truck model, with a
complete
table for each model year from 1977 to 1982.
Many of these carburetors are still available as brand new,
complete
assemblies from Ford. However, prices range from $400 to over
$800
each. Unless obsolete, you can use the Ford service part number
to order one of these carburetors from a Ford dealer parts
department.
In the case of obsolete carburetors, some of them are still
available,
either new or rebuilt, from Motorcraft (which can also be
ordered by
a Ford dealer parts department). See the next section below,

for more information.
